HOLYOKE – Police arrested a 24-year-old Cabot Street man Thursday night on multiple drug and weapons charges, police said.
Ian A. Foster was arrested in his apartment at 132 Cabot St., Apt. 1L, just before 6:30 p.m., said Capt. Denise Duguay of the police Criminal Investigations Bureau.
Officers with the police Vice-Narcotics Unit executed a district court search warrant for Foster’s apartment following an investigation, Duguay said.
Police found an undisclosed quantity of drugs, and three weapons, a shotgun, an assault rifle and a 9 mm handgun, she said.
Foster was charged with possession and distribution of a class B substance, receiving stolen property valued at more than $250, and three counts each of possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, improper storage of a firearm, and two counts of possession of a large capacity weapon or feeding device.
Duguay said the case remains an on-going investigation by police and no other information was available.
At his arraignment Friday in Holyoke District Court, Foster denied the charges.
Bail was initially set at $35,000 but was then revoked when it was determined he was already out on bail for unrelated cases. He is due back in court on Sept. 4.
