According to a recent Football FanCast poll, the majority of Charlton fans would support a move for Walsall midfielder George Dobson in January to provide a long-term replacement for Darren Pratley.

The Addicks signed 33-year-old Pratley on his release from Bolton Wanderers in the summer, and he has been somewhat of a success for Bowyer, playing in 12 matches in all competitions in a defensive midfield role that offers his back four protection and the midfield two in front of him license to get further forward.

However, the former Fulham and Swansea man isn’t getting any younger and it's now clear that Charlton fans are keen for the club to sign his replacement and allow them time to bed in. 68 per cent of those who answered our poll wanted that replacement to be Dobson.

The 20-year-old Englishman has played every minute of Walsall’s League One campaign so far this season and has even captained the side in all but one game despite his young age, proving that he clearly has an impressive career ahead of him.
